Senior Survival Skills: Understanding and Navigating Dementia

As the baby boomer generation progresses in age, cases of dementia are on the rise. In this presentation, LaVon Lenaway MA, CTVDT, DCS, DCSCT, founder and owner of Dragonfly Senior Navigation Services, will help us understand what causes dementia and how to recognize concerns in ourselves and others. As a community, it is also important for us to learn how to be sensitive to others who may be struggling and to properly identify social opportunities and activities that allow us to feel successful, have fun, and feel a sense of purpose and belonging. Lunch will be served, and there will be time for questions and additional discussion after the presentation.
