Memory loss and symptoms of dementia such as Alzheimer’s disease are discussed on the Vintage Times, a local cable television program for older persons.

As we age, we often worry about memory loss. We are concerned if we forget someone’s name, misplace our keys or search for words that these could be signs of dementia. These in themselves are not necessarily indicators that it is dementia.

This program discusses memory loss, the symptoms of dementia type diseases such as Alzheimer’s, and what to do if we suspect that someone does have dementia. “It is important to identify the cause of the memory loss, and if necessary, to identify care options and arrange financial and legal matters”, explains Aishling Dalton Kelly, owner of Aishling Companion Home Care.

This program can be seen on the following channels:
• DGTV channel 6, during the month of April 2017 on Mondays and Fridays at 10:30 am
• Comcast channel 19, during the month of May 2017 on Thursdays at 6 pm
• In the Village of Darien, daily at 4 pm on channel 6

DVD copies will be available for loan at public libraries in Downers Grove, Darien, and Westmont as well as at the Township office.
