The first spray for mosquitoes for unincorporated DG Township will occur on or about Monday, July 2nd. The Township will be coordinating with as many municipalities as possible to maximize the coverage and effectiveness of the spray.

The West Nile Virus (WVN) is carried by Culex and Aedes species. Morton Grove and Glenview have trapped West Nile carriers recently.

Typically, DG Township sprays when WNV carriers are detected. Despite the local area low threat level, heavy rains are scheduled to clear this weekend, leaving large amounts of standing water, breeding ground for nuisance broods. We urge residents to check their property for standing water and promptly drain or empty any they may find.
