Exercise and Physical Therapy for older adults, are discussed on the Vintage Times, a local cable television program for older persons.
Exercise is an important part of maintaining good physical and mental health. Exercise can make us feel stronger, more limber and more energetic. It can improve our balance and prevent falls. Exercise can help us to live independent lives into the later years. It is also important to know that physical therapy can restore our health if we suffer from certain physical ailments, injuries, or pain. This program discusses wellness programs such as exercise, nutrition, physical therapy and more, with Mary Lou Savino, owner of the “Be Fit” clinic in Downers Grove.
This program can be seen on the following channels:
• DGTV channel 6, during the month of July 2017 on Mondays and Fridays at 10:30 am.
• Comcast channel 19, during the month of August 2017 on Thursdays at 6 pm.
• In the Village of Darien, daily at 4 pm on channel 6.
DVD copies will be available for loan at public libraries in Downers Grove, Darien, and Westmont as well as at the Township office.
