Dear Residents,

The 2021 assessments will be available on our website’s Parcel Search on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021.

The 2021 assessments include the Supervisor of Assessments equalization factor of 1.0202. This assessment is subject to future County and State equalization. After publication a property owner has 30 days to file an appeal with the DuPage County Board of Review.

Upon reviewing your assessment, if you believe you are over assessed based on comparable sales or the assessments of other houses in your neighborhood, we encourage you to first reach out to our office to discuss your assessment with a Deputy Assessor before filing an appeal. You can send the information to us via our Assessment Review Form or call our office at 630-719-6630 and either myself or one of our Deputy Assessors will respond to you upon review of the information. Submitting information gives us the opportunity to address your concerns at our level to possibly avoid filing a formal appeal. Contacting us does not take away your right to file an appeal with the Board of Review.

The deadline for filing assessment appeals is October 4th, 2021; appeals must be post-marked on or before the deadline*.

The 2021 assessment list for Downers Grove Township will be published in the following newspapers:

  • September 2nd, 2021 – Downers Grove & Westmont Suburban Life
  • September 2nd, 2021 – Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills & Weekly Doings
  • September 2nd, 2021 – Hinsdale Suburban Life
