BIOGRAPHY

Theresa Cockrell has been a life long resident of Downers Grove. She has worked for Downers Grove Township for 32 years and has been the Assessor since 1983. During that time, Theresa has taken over 400 course hours in the assessment and appraisal field. She acquired the State of Illinois Associate Appraiser's license in 2002 and is currently working towards her State of Illinois General Appraiser's license. She is a member of the International Association of Assessing Officials and past President of the DuPage County Assessor's Association. Theresa enjoys such hobbies as crocheting, gardening, writing, antiquing, reading and having fun with her three dogs. She is also a member of Marquette Manor Baptist Church.
