REBECCA ADELMAN- LIFE SKILLS EDUCATION COORDINATOR
My name is Rebecca Adelman and I work as the Youth Education Coordinator for the Township. My work brings me into contact with thousands of teenagers from across the Township every year. As Youth Education Coordinator, I am responsible for creating and implementing a Life Skills curriculum that is culturally relevant for the needs of each middle and junior high school within the Township. I also serve as the instructor for the youth component of Township’s M.A.SK. (Managing Anger Skills) program.
I am a graduate of Benedictine University where I received my bachelors in psychology. My interest in prevention began as I was working as an addiction counselor with adolescent males. As a counselor, I witnessed first hand the damage that drugs and alcohol can inflict on the lives of youth.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two year old Bull Mastiff, Tyson.
