A one stop shopping event of health and human services for families living on low incomes in DuPage County with children ages newborn to 18 years.
When: Wednesday, August 4, 2010 @ 11 am – 6pm
Where: DuPage County Fairgrounds – 2015 W. Manchester Road, Wheaton, IL
Parents must bring this information to the fair:
- Proof of Income – recent pay stubs, tax return or Public Aid card. If you cannot provide this information, you must bring cash income verification, written letter from your employer, recent bank statements or a note from a caseworker.
- Proof of Address in DuPage County – photo I.D., driver’s license, or State I.D., and a recent utility bill or lease.
- Identification for Children – birth certificated or medical record.

“Services for Older Adults in DuPage County”, is the topic of discussion on the Vintage Times, a local cable television program for senior citizens.
As we get older, and live longer, it becomes increasingly important for us, our families and friends to know what services are available to us, and how to access them. A discussion about services that exist in our community is presented on the Vintage Times. Tara Culotta, Community Services manager for the DuPage County Senior Citizens Services, explains programs such as counseling services, help provided in clients’ homes, insurance matters, help in case of elder abuse, help for caregivers, housing matters and more. “We all want to maintain our independence for as long as possible and to live with dignity and respect,” says Culotta, “It is important to be informed about the many services that are offered in our community.”
This cable television program will be shown on channel 6 in Downers Grove during October 2009, on Mondays and Fridays at 10:30 am, and on Comcast channel 19 during November 2009, on Thursdays at 6:00 pm. The program is also shown on channel 6 in Darien daily at 4 pm. DVD copies will be available for loan at some libraries and at the Township office.
