Youth Community Foundation
The Youth Community Foundation is a group of students representing most high schools in Downers Grove Township that serve as a bridge to adolescents in the community, providing insight into the everyday issues teens face. The YCF will work along side the Downers Grove Township Human Services Department to assist in program development, build leadership, and provide community service opportunities within the township. The Youth Community Foundation is a great way to participate in fun activities throughout the year.
Our Mission is to advocate positive involvement of high school youth within Downers Grove Township. The Youth Community Foundation provides an opportunity for members to do outreach within the community, build leadership roles, create positive relationships with other teens and promote healthy lifestyles within the community.
Some of our past projects included a clothing drive for Veterans and their families, collaborating with Oak Trace on an Art Fair, Chicago Stand Down (aiding homeless Veterans), Barkapalooza and Feed My Starving Children.
