Vintage Times

The Vintage Times is produced by the Township of Downers Grove in cooperation with the Village of Downers Grove. Programs will be shown on Channel 6 in Downers during the entire month, on Mondays and Fridays at 10:30 am. The following month the program is shown on Comcast Channel 19 on Thursdays at 6 pm. The program will also be shown on Channel 6 in Darien, please check your newspapers for dates and times. Videotaped copies are available for loan at public libraries in Westmont, Downers Grove, the Indian Prairie Library, and at the Township office. For additional information, please contact Hanna Benioff at the Township of Downers Grove, Division of Human Services at (630) 719-6670.

The following programs are scheduled to air on Vintage Times:

May – Parkinson’s Disease – local programs for persons who have Parkinson’s disease offered by the American Parkinson’s Association at Central DuPage Hospital, and at the Advocate Good Samaritan Wellness Center.

June – Memory Loss, Dementia and Related Disorders – A comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatments that assist patients and their families by the Memory Assessment Center at the Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital.

July – Home modifications and assistive technology that enhance the safety of older adults in their homes.
