Kathleen Abbate

Kathleen A. Abbate and her husband have lived in Darien for 21 years and have two teenage daughters. Kathleen was born in Chicago and raised in Westchester, Illinois. She has a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s College and an MBA from Lewis University. Kathleen worked for Continental Bank as an internal auditor and also a Private Banking Lending Officer for ten years. Additionally, Kathleen is a licensed Illinois Realtor since 1982.

After having children in the early 1990’s, Kathleen has spent her time in many volunteer positions. She was the PTA President and Membership Chairperson for the Concord/Cass PTA while her daughters attended Cass Jr. High in Darien. For the past seven years, Kathleen has volunteered as a teacher/godparent for the Youth Ministry Program at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She has also worked in the church’s food pantry since 2000. Currently, Kathleen is a member of the Citizen of the Year Committee in Darien.
