Viewers will learn about help that is provided to seniors in their homes, such as light housekeeping, transportation and errand services. Representatives from two local agencies explain that they provide safe and compassionate care in the comfort of the person’s own home. “Exceptional in-home care does not just happen. It requires a solid infrastructure of people and resources to ensure the seniors are fully protected and receiving exceptional in-home care” says Michael Gonzelez of Home Helpers, while Dan Rattary, regional owner of Seniors Helping Seniors, explains that his agency is unique in that it matches seniors who need in-home care services with seniors who provide them.
The Vintage Times is a local cable television program shown on channels 6 and 19. This program will be shown on channel 6 during February 2010 on Mondays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m., and on Comcast channel 19 during March 2010, on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. The Vintage Times is also shown in Darien on channel 6 daily at 4 p.m.
DVD copies will be available for loan at public libraries in Downers Grove, Darien and Westmont, as well as the Township office.
