Senior Survey: Results Concerning Safety – The Vintage Times

A recent survey of older adults in Downers Grove Township indicated certain concerns that older adults have concerning their safety. The survey was conducted by the Downers Grove Township S.A.L.T. Council (Seniors and Lawmen Together). A discussion about these concerns is presented on the Vintage Times, a local cable television program for senior citizens.

A significant number of respondents had concerns about their safety and a large number of respondents where not aware of some programs designed to enhance their safety. “The S.A.L.T. Council hopes to address some of the safety concerns in the very near future”, said Mark Thoman, president of the Downers Grove Township S.A.L.T. Council.

This program can be seen on the following channels:
• DGTV channel 6, during the month of July 2012 on Mondays and Fridays at 10:30 am.
• Comcast channel 19, during the month of August 2012 on Thursdays at 6 pm.
• In the Village of Darien, on channel 6, daily at 4 pm.
• For AT& U-Verse customers the program airs on channel 99 on same days and times as listed above.
