The Vintage Times - Hanna Benioff

Hanna Benioff - Vintage Times

Regular physical activity is one of the most important things older adults can do for their health. A discussion about the benefits of exercise for older persons is presented on the Vintage Times, a local cable television program for senior citizens.

This is the second in a series on exercise for older persons. Viewers will learn about a variety of programs offered at the Advocate Good Samaritan Health & Wellness Center in Downers Grove. Exercise instructors and program participants describe the benefits of exercise and focus especially on two programs called “Dr. Fit” and “Jump Start Your Heart.” “Exercise is an important part of maintaining good health. It can prevent many of the health problems that seem to come with age. It also helps your muscles grow stronger so you can keep doing your day-to-day activities without becoming dependent on others,” says Ed Bendoraitis, an exercise physiologist.
