Help for Elderly Homeowners to Remain in their Homes
Services that enable elderly homeowners to remain in their own homes are discussed on the Vintage Times, a local cable television program for senior citizens.
Representatives from the DuPage Senior Citizens Council (DSCC) explain their services such as a Minor Home Repair program, Home Delivered Meals, well-being check for homebound seniors, meals at community centers, a food for pets for homebound seniors, and more. These programs are affordable and reliable. “Growing older can bring obstacles that, for many seniors, can make daily life challenging. To ease those challenges, DSCC tries to help seniors maintain their independence in their homes,” says Dennis McInerny, director of the Home Maintenance program.
